Since 2002, Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS) has been providing Chinese and Asia-Pacific airlines with maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft parts, including modifications, spare unit supply and engineering support.

Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO) was established in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in October 1989. It is a 50/50 joint venture between China Southern Airlines and Hutchison Whampoa China (HKG), which is specialized in the maintenance of aircraft and on-board components.

Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Corporation (Ameco) was established on August 1st 1989. It is a joint venture between Air China Limited and Lufthansa German Airlines.
